Wow! Featuring a Tuba-Phone tone ring, this American-made banjo rings out like few others. Includes a 12-inch pot for more depth in sound.
A tapered peghead rounded at the top is the perfect compliment to the beauty of the Marble Falls lady. She stands on a marble out-cropping with a large pot pouring water into a pool; the beginning of the falls. This one was drawn for Chuck's wife, Tammy. They discussed it for over a year. A swan swims at the fifth fret and flowers mark the twelfth.
Neck: each neck is built of carefully chosen, properly dried woods. After the right piece is in hand, it is laid up with various colored veneers on each side of the center strip, and under the finger board. A 25 1/2" scale is used for easy fingering and tuning up to other keys. To meet the differing playing styles a two-way truss rod is installed with the adjustment in the heel allowing the relief to be adjusted. The way the neck is mounted to the rim allows for easy adjustment of the action. A Scalloped bone nut on one end and a frailing scoop on the other completes a well made, easy to play neck.
Fingerboard: ebony fingerboards and peghead overlays (some black and some with eye pleasing streaking). Pearl, Gold Pearl or Abalone side dots set off the side of each fingerboard and gives a road map to play by.
Peghead: distinct and visually pleasing peghead designs allow each model to have its own personality. Nickel plated 5-Star tuners are standard.
Inlay: this is Chuck Lee's passion. He wants his inlay designs to dance in each viewers mind in a way they may never forget.
Rim: 11-inch of two-ply maple, 3" tall and 1/2" thick. A rim cap is fitted to the bottom of each two-ply rim.Tone ring: Tuba-Phone.
Hardware: nickel-plated ball end nuts, Shoes (with custom screws), Hooks, Tension Hoops, and No-Knot tailpiece are standard on all models. Head: Remo Renaissance
Note: Our banjos are individually inspected, set up and tuned by the banjo.com staff in Georgia. We are banjo players, so we set them up the way we want to play them! Each banjo is in tune when we carefully pack it for shipment. Climate conditions and travel will affect the tuning, so it may need to be fine-tuned before playing. |
