We have a very limited supply of collectible new Deering banjos. This Deluxe 6-string, serial number J941, a left-handed model, was manufactured by Deering in California during the month of February, 2007. It includes the new Deering tone ring, which went into production in Sierra models during the first quarter of 2006. These no-hole tone rings were produced for only about a year and are no longer available. Only the 20-hole tone rings are currently in production. We are selling the last of these collectible banjos at lower prices to make room for new inventory. Our price includes a Deering premium hard-shell case and the limited lifetime warranty from Deering.
A very special professional-grade 6-string banjo. Made in USA. The Deluxe is one of the most popular models of the Deering line. The gloss finish, ebony fingerboard, diamond shaped inlays, and extra trim on the back of the resonator and along the edge of the peghead are features that make a more elegant instrument.
The mahogany neck and resonator create a sweet tone. Made with the same three-ply maple rim, zinc flange, and nickel plated metal parts that used on Deering's most expensive banjos, the Deluxe offers a great sound. What makes this one stand out is the virgin bell-bronze tone ring that sits atop the rock-maple rim. It's the same setup Deering uses in all their professional-grade bluegrass banjos. Great sounding, great playing, and great looking, the Deering Deluxe is a nice step up from a beginner banjo. Dollar for dollar, the Deluxe is one of the best banjo values available anywhere.
Note: Our banjos are individually inspected, set up and tuned by the banjo.com staff in Georgia. We are banjo players, so we set them up the way we want to play them! Each banjo is in tune when we carefully pack it for shipment. Climate conditions and travel will affect the tuning, so it may need to be fine-tuned before playing. |
