Deering has just offered the new Goodtime Midnight Special 5 string banjo and we are now offering it with a starter pack. The starter pack will include a padded gig bag, strap, tuner and an instructional DVD.
The Goodtime Midnight Special is rock maple stained in a stunning black, with white mother of pearl neck inlays and proudly bearing a white "Made in the USA" star, the new Midnight Special Goodtime resonator model now stands boldly alongside Deering's other Goodtime models, the most popular selling American made banjos in the world. The maple resonator is stained in black with a striking white binding that offsets the nickel plated hardware and steel tone ring. Already acclaimed for its bright sound and great sustain, the Midnight Special version of the Goodtime Special is a limited edition offering of this proven performer.
This limited edition banjo will be serial numbered marking it as a true collectable. The sound of the Midnight Special has been described as a well defined golden sweetness, with a round bass resonance and brilliant highs that rival banjos selling for more than twice the price. These very limited, special edition banjos are being made with the new red maple rims hand-crafted at the Deering Banjo factory location in California. It is the perfect marriage of these new red maple rims and the steel tone ring that gives players the increased response, clarity, and definition heard from the Midnight Special Goodtime banjo.
The Midnight Special comes standard with planetary tuning pegs and a geared fifth string tuner, all with pristine white tuning buttons that add to the already sleek styling of this banjo. Crafted with the more traditional Deering peghead shape preferred by many banjo enthusiasts and emblazoned with the familiar Goodtime logo in vivid white, the Midnight Special banjo also includes a vintage style Vega armrest for playing comfort.

Each banjo is in tune when we carefully pack it for shipment. Climate conditions and travel will affect the tuning, so it may need to be fine-tuned before playing. |
