New from Gold Tone! Our Irish Tenor banjos have always been a favorite in the Celtic arena. This new model was recommended by Andy Perkins (owner of Andybanjo.com in Faversham, England) and is based on a custom design that he has already been building for some years in response to a demand for a more "up front" banjo than the well-regarded IT250 model. Andy helped us design this model which packs extra punch/volume and will "cut through" at crowded Celtic music sessions. Combining the refined & well-tested Gold Tone shortscale tenor neck with a hard rock maple 3 ply rim, sand cast brass tone ring, one piece flange and 14" traditional resonator assures quality tone - and lots of it!!
Note: Our banjos are individually inspected, set up and tuned by the banjo.com staff in Georgia. We are banjo players, so we set them up the way we want to play them! Each banjo is in tune when we carefully pack it for shipment. Climate conditions and travel will affect the tuning, so it may need to be fine-tuned before playing. |
