Economically priced, the MC-150R has all quality parts which provide excellent tone. This model is convertible which means the resonator may be easily detached for open back playing style. Recently, the MC-150 received a rave review from a popular folk magazine in England which described its incredible tone for the price. It is also available in kit form for the do-it-yourself craftsman! (GT Kit).
And it's lightweight for a bluegrass banjo with a metal tone ring--only 9 pounds! Features include maple neck, maple tone rim, maple resonator, shoe style lugs, alloy tone ring, two way adjustable truss rod, Straight Line tailpiece, and snowflake inlay.
Note: Our banjos are individually inspected, set up and tuned by the banjo.com staff in Georgia. We are banjo players, so we set them up the way we want to play them! Each banjo is in tune when we carefully pack it for shipment. Climate conditions and travel will affect the tuning, so it may need to be fine-tuned before playing. |
